Skin isn’t only thing that needs protection in the summer

It’s finally here! That’s right the summer solstice has finally arrived, and given us a reason to step out and show out for the season. Time to barbecue, catch fireflies, and break out the sunscreen. It’s a common fact that in the summertime you should make an effort to protect your skin. Yet, would you believe me if I told you that protecting your hair is just as important? In order to make sure your mane is in tip top shape for those fun summer adventures, you want to do your best on those off days to keep your hair protected.

In the summer, we spend more time outdoors doing activities. This can lead to us fussing with our hair more, because the summer heat makes it harder for us to maintain hairstyles. The physical bonds in our hair break when it is exposed to heat and water, hence, on hot and humid days perfectly curled hair will collapse and smoothly straightened hair will become frizzy. There are products out there that can help seal in your hair style, however, they tend to be full of chemicals, and harmful to the environment. The easiest way to keep to your hair protected and looking great all summer is to try a protective style. Protective styles require no heat tools, and minimal fussing. They can be very fun, and super stylish for whatever summer event you’ll think of attending. Check them out below, and see what style works best for you.
